Learning to carve stone has been a life changing experience for me, which started when I first met Maria in 2009 when taking part in the Adult Learning Sculpture Course which she then taught. I continued on to her private courses, where Maria’s intelligent guidance, warmth and support has enabled me to develop my carving skills at my own pace. Giving me the confidence to try out new ideas and stretch my creative limits. I can’t imagine a life now without carving stone and feel forever grateful to Maria for her gentle encouragement and firm belief in my abilities.
